This first step is the base on which we'll build. Together, we will assess what are the current issues, blockers and challenges and agree on a tailor-made program that suit your expectations and the abilities of your dog.
The reasons to see a behaviourist might be multiple: reactivity, excessive barking, anxiety of separation, lead pulling, destruction, fear, hyperactivity...
All can be worked on, with patience, respect of the dog and consistency.
Adopting a new friend is a blessing and lots of happiness ahead. It is also a long-term commitment that cannot be taken lightly. The adoption program is there to take you by the hand from the decision making until the first few months at home.
The cognitive understanding of dogs has evolved significantly over the past 20 years. Our common knowledge of the canine species may not be as accurate as we think. That is why individual or group workshops are organised. The topics are: "the dog's needs" & "walk on a loose lead".

ABOUT
NICK

Baloo & Sushi are, like many dogs, unconditional love. And yet, the first few years of their lives was not rainbows and butterflies. Far from it.
When I met them on New Year's Eve 2024, it was an instant crush. From one planned adoption, I went to double trouble as I certainly did not have the heart to separate them as brothers who lived their whole lives together. Moments of bliss come unannounced.

Balkan, my first ever dog, tore my cheek open with his paw when I was 4 years old. I could have developed a fear of the canine species at an early age, yet somehow knew it was an accident: I stepped on my sleeping dog’s paw or tail (we’ll never know), as I was sleepwalking. I never stopped loving my pup.

The one that led me to become a canine behaviourist is called Tiga. He was a rescue that I adopted in Malta. Tiga showed me the true meaning of unconditional love. When I started studying dog behaviour, I realised all the mistakes that I had made with my previous dogs and him as well. So it became quite clear to me that what dogs really need is not exactly what is commonly spread between us since generations.

This is all about learning a new language and work on our observation, self-awareness, and communication skills to live a happy life with our dogs. Baloo & Sushi came with quite a heavy background, I am thrilled I was able to use all my knowledge and experience to give them a happy and balanced life. And that's the kind of knowledge I would like to pass on to you.

What about you and your furry friend? How is your communication coming along? Let’s work on this together and Bark with Nick now.
